Medical / Health

Observing local professionals and performing routine tasks in various departments at hospitals, clinics, and community outreach programs. There really aren’t any requirements towards volunteering. There are many health related jobs or internships you may take such as medicine, nursery, midwifery, dentistry, public health, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, & nutrition. All you need to do is be committed to making an impact. You do not need to be a professional teacher or you will not need a TEFL certificate to get involved. If you do have qualifications they will welcome your experiences & skills. There are many types of volunteer work but most will require your age & if you’re truly committed. Healthcare Volunteer, a non-profit organization, is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a non-discriminatory work environment. Healthcare Volunteer does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Healthcare Volunteer is committed to creating a dynamic work environment that values team work, collaboration, creativity, and building a diverse team. Without volunteers to rely on, it is hard to imagine how the public health industry could fulfill its mission. The impact of volunteerism goes far beyond the doctors and nurses who volunteer their time and expertise to free clinics. Many people who want to help others do not need health care experience to support efforts like educating the public about health and safety issues, answering phones at clinics and health hotlines, or delivering meals to seniors. Basically there are many opportunities you can take so you can volunteer & make an impact towards the society.
